Toys- unopened or unused (> 6 mos)
Toys- missing pieces that are necessary for play
Stuffed animals not touched in 3 mos.
Furniture without a space or purpose
Collections are:
Things that hold a memory of a person, place or time.
Papers: awards, report cards, letters, cards
Artwork: especially school age children
Sports paraphenalia: t-shirts, hats, pennants, awards, trophies.
All of the collections listed above will hold more value if they are

Artwork: take pictures of them and print them to put in photo album
or store on a cd.
Sports paraphenalia: take photos of things that no longer fit but hold
meaning. Place them in a photo album or do a scrapbook to share their
meaning to others.
Hobby organization
In order to have a functional hobby
that allows you to enjoy it you need to be organized.
Crafting basics
-keep like items together (stamps, paints, stickers, punches)
-use plastic drawer systems that are labels for for glue, markers,
pens & pencils
and miscellaneous craft items
-use larger drawer systems to hold your in progress and completed projects to
keep them out of harms way
-before you purchase new items go through old items and purge or take an inventory
to avoid overspending.
-only buy what you have time to do
-only a few projects at a time
Sporting collections
-sports items can also be photographed so that they can be preserved
in an all athletic scrapbook. Shirts and hats of teams are photographed
and put with other action shots of that season.Home organization
Scrapbooking
and card making
-have all paper split by use.
-i find it easiest for me if i have it separated by plain, striped,
plaid and pattern paper and then all my stickers and other embellishments
are in other pockets. -others i know keep it by the brand of paper
for ease of matching up patterns.
-piles to be scrapbooked for each child are placed into envelopes so
that when you are ready to work on one child’s album all their
items are together (easy to take with you)
